Use of Heating Pads

Heating pads are also another great way to take care of pain and discomfort while treating a bladder infection. Heating pads are available in local drug stores. Towels can also be soaked in warm water and placed over the affected areas to achieve the same effect as heating pads.
Frequent Urination

Urinating frequently will help to flush out bacteria from the bladder. It also prevents further growth of bacteria in the urinary tract. It’s advised that you go urinate every time you feel the need to in order to shorten the period of time that urine spends in the bladder.
It is also advised that urine is passed out after sexual activity as sex can actually help to push bacteria further into the urethra and facilitate their movement to the bladder and to other parts of the urinary tract. Urinating after sex is a way of trying to flush out some of the bacteria to prevent them from settling and infecting the urinary tract. To help with this practice, drink water or any fluids before and after sexual activity.
