Ayurvedic Treatment for Lipoma

Lipoma and Ayurveda

A lipoma is a soft tumor that develops slowly and is brought on by fat accumulation under the skin. Some can cause pain, while some lipomas may merely be an aesthetic concern. If lipomas are removed at all, surgery is often used to treat them. Nonetheless, some people may opt for natural therapies before considering surgical removal.

Ayurveda is a traditional, all-natural healthcare system. Ayurveda, which means “knowledge of life,” is an Indian medical system that dates back more than 3,000 years. Ayurveda’s fundamental tenet is that everything in the body is interrelated, including the life forces (doshas [1]) and the physical makeup of the body (prakriti).

Diets and Ayurvedic treatments both emphasize purification. To address both physical and psychological imbalances that may result in illness or chronic problems, they work to bring harmony to your body.

Ayurveda treatment usually starts with a purification process, followed by other practices that may include:

  • herbal medicine
  • massage therapy
  • yoga
  • meditation
