Stage 4 NSCLC and Small Cell Lung Cancer Stages

Stage 4 NSCLC can be grouped into two subtypes, they include Stage 4A and Stage 4B. In Stage 4A, the cancer has spread to fluid surrounding the heart or lungs. The cancer has gotten to an organ far away from the lung, such as the brain [5], liver or kidney [6]. In Stage 4B the cancer has spread to organs far from the lungs.
SCLC is also grouped into two stages limited stage and extensive stage. Patients with SCLC usually have rapid onset symptoms, extra-pulmonary distant spread, paraneoplastic syndromes, local intrathoracic tumour growth, and more.
