Breast size/shape change & Nipple inversion

There is no standard breast size or shape. What is normal is different for everyone. If you observe a change in the size or shape [7] of your breasts with no explanation, you should see a doctor. Breast cancer may also cause parts of your breast to swell or thicken.

Cancerous cells can cause changes to the appearance of the nipple [8]. This can cause the nipples to look like they are being retracted or pulled back into the breasts. This symptom often appears in the later stages of breast cancer.

While ovulation and other hormonal changes in women might sometimes be responsible for changes in nipple appearance, you should report any unusual changes to your doctor.
