Dry Mouth
A dry mouth is when one has a rough, dry tongue and there is a lack of moisture in the mouth. The medical term for dry mouth is known as xerostomia. [6] Dry mouth is one of the most common symptoms of diabetes and doctors are not sure how dry mouth is related to type 2 diabetes. People continue to make the mistake of ignoring it and this is because one could have a dry mouth and not have diabetes. Also, not all diabetes patients experience this symptom. Sometimes, drugs given to patient to treat type 2 diabetes could cause dry mouth.
