Erectile Dysfunction & Cramps

The penis is a vascular organ and the erection happens thanks to the increased blood flow. It is common for patients with severe heart failure or who use drugs for hypertension, for example, to have erectile dysfunction, as there is a decrease in the volume of blood pumped by the heart. Obviously, several other factors can lead to erection problems and you should seek help from a specialist to diagnose the cause of the problem.
Cramps can have several causes and one of them is the so-called intermittent claudication, which occurs when the blood flow in the lower limbs becomes insufficient to irrigate the muscles and tissues, due to some arterial obstruction. The heart attack will not manifest itself during a cramp. But, if the problem recurs – and is not associated with physical exercise – there may be a relationship between it and heart disease.
