How common is herpes on the buttocks

During an outbreak, buttocks-related herpes lesions are relatively frequent. The prevalence of buttock symptoms was reported to be around 20% across all participants in a 2006 study [2] of 237 herpes patients.
You could also have symptoms in other areas of your body during a herpes outbreak, including:
- Your anus, inside thighs, and genitals have red pimples.
- You feel tingling in your legs.
- pain in the body or head
- lymph node enlargement
- bulging lymph nodes
- any fever that is greater than 101°F (38°C).
