Herpes on the Buttocks: Signs, Symptoms, Causes and More

How common is herpes on the buttocks

During an outbreak, buttocks-related herpes lesions are relatively frequent. The prevalence of buttock symptoms was reported to be around 20% across all participants in a 2006 study [2] of 237 herpes patients.

You could also have symptoms in other areas of your body during a herpes outbreak, including:

  • Your anus, inside thighs, and genitals have red pimples.
  • You feel tingling in your legs.
  • pain in the body or head
  • lymph node enlargement
  • bulging lymph nodes
  • any fever that is greater than 101°F (38°C).
