Liver Failure Signs And Symptoms

Nausea

Due to the liver’s inability to flush out toxins from the body, excess wastes store in the body and can trigger feelings of vomiting. Patients often complain about ongoing nausea that may or may not lead to vomiting. Nausea is an early symptom of this condition and can reoccur several times throughout the sickness period.

Jaundice

Yellow skin and eyes are common symptoms of liver failure. When the organ starts to malfunction, and the patient is suffering from chronic hepatitis or inflammation, the skin and eyes often take on a yellow color. One of the wastes that build up in the body is bilirubin. Bilirubin is a substance found in red blood cells which flushes out when the cells die.

Failure to purify the blood will cause high pigmentation of bilirubin. You will notice signs of excess bilirubin in the blood through yellow eyes, yellow skin, and dark-colored urine.
