Benefits of Resveratrol for the Skin

What Is Resveratrol?

Resveratrol is a natural plant compound that belongs to the class of micronutrients called polyphenols’ stilbenes. It contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that protect against cancer [1], diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease [2]. It also contains antifungal and antibacterial properties that treat urinary and digestive infections. It can be gotten from about 70 species of plants such as red grapes, peanuts, blueberries, strawberries, cranberry, apple, cherry, raspberry, wine and many more.

Resveratrol helps support a healthy heart and also aids blood pressure regulation. There is no specific dose recommended, but it is advised to talk to medical personnel to prevent gastrointestinal upset.
