Can Acne Scars Go Away?

What scars cars from acne?

The skin and underlying collagen can be harmed by the painful, puffy, red, and deep skin lesions that can result from inflammatory acne. Collagen is produced by the body as these lesions recover. Acne scars that are too much or too little collagen produced don’t resemble the skin around them.

Several elements, such as the following, can raise the risk of scarring:

  • Delaying treatment for inflammatory acne
  • Genetics (i.e., a close relative who has acne scarring)
  • picking or popping acne
  • severity of the condition, which usually determines how much scarring will result.

An area of healed skin that is darker is known as hyperpigmentation [8]. Melanin production in skin increases as a result of inflammatory acne. Skin’s color is derived from this pigment. Usually, dark patches appear on people that have dark skin color.
