Home Remedies for Jock Itch

Salt bath

Salt baths provide relief from several health conditions, including jock itch [6]. You can use plain, iodized, or Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) in making your salt bath. Epsom salt baths are employed in several alternative health treatments and there are no major downsides to using them.

Add some salt to a bathtub of warm water and soak yourself in it for 15 to 20 minutes. While there is no standard amount of Epsom salt to use in salt baths, Mayo Clinic recommends [7] not using more than two cups per gallon of warm water. More can make the water slippery. You can take Epsom salt baths two times a day.
