What Else Could It Be?

It could potentially be something else if you have a rash or lumps on your skin. These illnesses share some of the same symptoms as psoriasis and folliculitis.

  • Seborrheic dermatitis, [7] which can affect oilier parts of your body like the scalp, upper chest, and face
  • Ringworm, dermatophytosis, or tinea, a type of fungal infection,
  • Lichen planus, a skin rash brought on by an autoimmune reaction
  • Eczema, which has a variety of forms and causes, are all examples of skin conditions.
  • Contact dermatitis, which is typically brought on by an allergy or irritant in the environment
  • Pityriasis rosea, a type of rash that researchers believe may be a type of viral infection
  • Scabies, [8] which is highly contagious and caused by a mite known as the Sarcoptes scabiei
  • Acne, often caused by clogged pores due to hormones, bacteria, excess oil production, and more
