Superior Smiles, a new Cheshire dental practice, is offering patients the chance to see a digital image of how their chosen non-invasive cosmetic dental treatments will look before any work is started. The Knutsford-based practice is offering the state-the-art digital service as just part of its impressive customer care package, which puts the patient’s needs before anything else.
Situated in an art deco building on Bexton Lane, Knutsford, Superior Smiles was recently opened by Rachel Jackson, 33. Frustrated with customer care slipping further and further down the list of priorities for surgeries, the Knutsford resident wanted to channel her 15 years’ experience in dental practice into creating a completely new type of service.
Says owner and treatment coordinator, Rachel: “One of many things we do things differently at Superior Smiles is that I own and run the practice, but I’m not a dentist and do not carry out the treatment. This means our dentists are free to focus on providing the highest quality dentistry, whilst our operational team and I focus solely on giving a seamless, patient-focused journey.”

While Superior Smiles offers both dental check-ups and oral hygiene care, it also has a range of cosmetic procedures, giving patients the best smile possible. The practice currently has two dentists. Kathryn Dunning has over 25 years of experience of all aspects of restorative dentistry including Orthodontics and Endodontics; while Albert Muntané is passionate about Cosmetic Dentistry and Dental Implants.
Says Rachel: ‘We take a holistic view of every individual patient and patient care is our number one priority; we’re not about herding people through the door for a 10-minute examination. We’re on a patient-led journey and will always put their individual needs first. We want to align the experience of going to the dentist with going to the hairdressers or nail salon – something to be enjoyed rather than endured.”
With this in mind, part of Rachel’s role is to calm nervous patients. “Many people avoid the dentist because of fear, and I’ve had several patients arrive in tears. We hope to provide a calming, spa-like experience. Patients heal more effectively when they’re relaxed and at ease.”
Rachel hopes that the practice will grow: “We have the capacity to take on five more dentists, however we won’t expand to the point that patient care is compromised as a result; the patient will always come first.”
