Medial Epicondylitis

Medial epicondylitis is an elbow disorder that causes pain and discomfort in the inner tendons in the elbows. It is also known as glider’s elbow and little leaguer’s elbow. It is common in baseball and golf players. This is because the repetitive throwing movement in baseball and the downward swing in golf may increase tension in the inner tendons.

Medial epicondylitis can also be caused by constant hand movement, like swinging a hammer every day. It results in pain in the medial portion of the elbow. Wrist movements can also worsen and trigger pain. You can improve the condition with constant rest and standard treatment methods, like applying an ice pad to the area or taking over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen.  [1]
