What Are the Common Symptoms of Tibia Fracture?

The symptoms that accompany tibia fracture usually depend on how bad the fracture is. The most common symptoms of tibia fracture include:
- Severe pain in your lower leg
- Difficulty kicking, running, or walking
- Numbness [1] or tingling in your foot
- Limited bending motion in and around your knee
- Inability to bear weight on your injured leg
- Deformity in your lower leg, knee, shin, or ankle area
- Bruising [2] and blueness on your injured leg
- Bone protruding through a skin break
- Swelling [3] around the site of your injury
When you fracture your tibia, the other bone in the lower leg, known as the fibula, is usually affected as well.
