What are the symptoms of EGFR lung cancer?
Symptoms of EGFR lung cancer are no different from other types of lung cancer. You might not experience any symptoms in the early stages, but early symptoms may include:
- hoarseness
- cough
- chest pain
- shortness of breath
- wheezing
- frequent bronchitis [1], pneumonia [2], or other lung infections
- coughing up blood
These symptoms should not be ignored. Only about 17 percent of lung cancers are diagnosed at a localized stage when it’s easier to treat.
As the disease spreads, symptoms can include:
- loss of appetite
- unintended weight loss
- headaches
- bone pain
- bone fractures
- blood clots
