Immune System Deficiency

If the immune system is not as solid and functional as it should be, it increases the risk of developing cervical cancer. There are several causes of a lowered immune system which include; immune suppression medication like corticosteroid and organ transplantation. Also, if a person is infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the immune system would not be strong enough to fight off early cancer since it is a virus that causes acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS).
