Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding

This is also called abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) [4] is a condition that tampers with the regular menstrual cycle. This is caused by an imbalance and irregularity in the sex hormones. This results in heavy bleeding, sporadic bleeding and spotting. Spotting is usually lighter than the usual menstruation. It may appear pink, brown or light red.  Abnormal vaginal bleeding is the most popular symptom of endometrial cancer and some of its features can include:

  • Bleeding in the vagina after menopause.
  • Spotting or periods between menstrual cycles.
  • Inconsistency in the length of menstrual periods.
  • Changes in the heaviness of menstruation.
