Endometrial Cancer: Symptoms To Know

Vaginal Discharge, Difficult or Painful Urination

Vaginal discharge can be quite normal most times. The quantity, smell and color (from white to milky) can also vary as it depends on your menstrual cycle. There might be slight differences during ovulation, pregnancy, breastfeeding and when you’re sexually aroused. However, if the odor, smell and amount seems different than it usually is, and if you also experience burning and itchy sensations in the vagina, it may be a sign of endometrial cancer. Vaginal discharge varies from watery/slimy and pink, to brown, thick and foul smelling.

Painful urination is also known as dysuria. Dysuria [5] is a feeling of discomfort, burning or pain when urinating. It may be accompanied with bloody or cloudy urine, foul or toxic smelling urine and flank pain. If you find it hard or difficult to urinate, and it is accompanied with the symptoms stated above, it may be a sign of endometrial cancer. Therefore, when you urinate, if you find it very painful to do so, check the urine for any change in color or the presence of blood.
