Complications
Oesophageal cancer can lead to complications, such as:
- Bleeding in the oesophagus: Esophageal cancer can result in bleeding. The bleeding usually occurs gradually. It may occur suddenly in severe cases.
- Obstruction of the oesophagus: The condition might impede the passage of food and liquid through your oesophagus.
- Advanced oesophagal cancer can cause pain.
