Stages of Colon Cancer

Stage 4

Stage 4 colon cancer is classified into two phases, stage 4A and stage 4B.

Stage 4A

This stage means the cancer has grown to a distance location, such as the lungs or liver.

Stage 4B

This is the most advanced stage of colon cancer. It indicates that the cancer has spread to two or more distant locations, such as the liver, lungs [5] or kidney. [6]

Conclusion

In some cases, colon cancer can also be classified as low-grade or high-grade. It is important for doctors to know what stage the cancer has gotten to, so they can administer proper treatment.
