Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy involves the use of certain drugs such as cisplatin, bleomycin, and etoposide to kill cancer cells. Chemotherapy has been proven to be effective in improving the survival rate of people with seminomas and non-seminoma.
Your doctor may recommend chemotherapy instead of surgery, depending on your cancer. It may be used before the RPLND procedure [6] or after a radical inguinal orchiectomy. Chemotherapy may also be used to treat cancer that’s returned following remission.
Surveillance
Surveillance is done after a person has had treatment for testicular cancer. This is to check for any signs that cancer has come back.
Surveillance does not involve active treatment, but the patient will need regular checkups and appointments to conduct certain tests.
