Pleuritis or Pleurisy
Inflammation of the membranes around the lungs is known as pleurisy. Tia inflammation results in a friction between these two tissue layers as a result of this inflammation. Usually, the linings of the lungs and the chest cavity are separated by a thin, fluid-filled gap. The lungs glide over this tissue when they inhale and exhale.
Breathing can become quite painful and acute when there is friction in pleurisy. Several factors can lead to the condition, including:
- a painful wound
- pneumothorax [3]
- pulmonary embolism ailments like pneumonia, cancer, or lupus
The reason will dictate the course of treatment and prognosis. In the event that low oxygen levels cause dizziness or difficulty breathing, an individual should seek medical attention right once.
