Ulcerative Colitis and Thyroid Disease – What’s the Link?

Conclusion

As stated earlier, thyroid diseases usually precede the diagnosis of ulcerative colitis. However the link between these two diseases remains to be seen. But there are underlying conditions associated with both of them. There is no permanent cure for both diseases, but the symptoms can be managed with the use of medications and other practices like surgery. Changes in diet are also useful during treatment.
