Even though it is true that most people do not experience any symptoms, and may not know about it until your doctor find it during an examination of your colon. However, some people do experience certain symptoms.

Change in the Color of Your Stool and Bowel Habit

There might be some sign of blood usually as red streaks in your stool. Your stool may also appear black if polyp is bleeding substantially and is located in the proximal colon that is the cecum and ascending colon. This change in color may also be caused by certain food, dietary supplements, and may be a side effect from some medications.

Sudden change in your bowel movement may be a symptom of colon polyp. If you start to experience constipation or diarrhea that lasts longer than a week, this may imply that there is a larger colon polyp that is obstructing the colon and even a possibility of colon cancer. However, you are not to jump to conclusions rather visit your doctor immediately to know what the issue is.
