6 Symptoms of Prediabetes

Urination

Frequent urination may be a significant symptom of prediabetes. Note that urination is a normal process in the body. It’s a process for the body to eliminate waste fluids, which contain uric acid, water, toxins, and waste filtered from within the body system.

Excessive urination is typically described as urinating more than seven times in twenty-four hours while drinking two litres of fluid. Note that individuals have different urination routines, making it essential to observe and report consistent urination to the doctor.

Apart from prediabetes, frequent urination may be due to lifestyle-based factors like alcohol intake or consuming fluids that contain alcohol and caffeine. Other possible causes of the condition outside lifestyle-based factors include anxiety, urinary tract infections [3], and interstitial cystitis.
