Precautions

There are certain lifestyle changes to follow in order to prevent this disease, such as:
- Maintenance of healthy weight
- Follow a well-balanced meal plan, make sure to avoid processed foods, saturated fats and reduce sugary foods and eat more vegetables, fruits, low-fat dairy and lean proteins.
- Refrain from taking alcohol.
- Try to engage in exercises like walking, swimming or riding a bike for about 30minutes every day, for at least 3 days in a week.
- Get enough sleep.
- Try out different relaxation techniques, mindful meditation or deep breathing exercises.
- Lastly, quit smoking.
