Precautions

There are certain lifestyle changes to follow in order to prevent this disease, such as:

  • Maintenance of healthy weight
  • Follow a well-balanced meal plan, make sure to avoid processed foods, saturated fats and reduce sugary foods and eat more vegetables, fruits, low-fat dairy and lean proteins.
  • Refrain from taking alcohol.
  • Try to engage in exercises like walking, swimming or riding a bike for about 30minutes every day, for at least 3 days in a week.
  • Get enough sleep.
  • Try out different relaxation techniques, mindful meditation or deep breathing exercises.
  • Lastly, quit smoking.
