Some other symptoms of diabetes can cause or increase fatigue and they include;

  • Blurred vision
  • Excessive thirst
  • Extreme weight loss
  • Blurred vision
  • Insatiable hunger

Some of these symptoms may not cause fatigue directly but many of them may contribute to feeling unwell. If these symptoms persist or are prolonged, they may lead to severe damages that can cause fatigue.

Complications of Diabetes

Diabetic patients might develop various complications that can contribute to being fatigued.

These complications mainly develop in patients who have an uncontrollable high blood glucose level.

Examples of these complications include;

  • Exposure to frequent infections.
  • Heart diseases, including myocardial infarction.
  • Kidney problems.
  • Nerve damage which is also called diabetic neuropathy.
