Abdominal pain occurs between the pelvic regions and the chest. This pain can be dull, colicky, achy, sharp or intermittent. It can also be called a stomach ache. Therefore, when there is persistent and significant pain in the stomach, it is one of the symptoms of diverticulosis.

Abdominal bloating is caused by the gastrointestinal tract [2] being filled with gas or air. In most cases, bloating comes with a feeling of tightness, fullness or swelling. The abdomen may also be painful, distended and hard. It may be accompanied by flatulence [3], pain, abdominal gurgles or rumbling and constant belching or burping.
