Fibromyalgia: Foods to Eat and Avoid

Foods That are Processed

A large part of many processed foods is sugar and bad fats, which cause inflammation. In processed [11] foods, flavorings and preservatives widely used may also cause food sensitivities.

Fats That are Unhealthy

Inflammatory [12] effects were noted when vegetable oils were used for cooking, such as peanut oil, corn oil, and safflower oil, particularly when used to fry food.  Medical literature has related fried foods to aggravation of fibromyalgia symptoms. In many packaged foods, such as crackers, cookies, and doughnuts, unhealthy oils are a popular ingredient. The key sources of unhealthy fats also includes cheese and pizza.
