Common Symptoms and Causes of Arrhythmia

Cardiovascular Diseases or Stimulants

Heart arrhythmia may be caused by cardiovascular diseases [15]. It may be caused by blockage of the arteries due to coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathy, a disorder of the heart muscles. High blood pressure, valvular heart diseases, and heart failure are among common cardiovascular causes of heart disease.
Previous heart surgery or scarring of heart tissue [16] from a previous heart attack may also cause arrhythmia. Arrhythmia may also be caused by a heart attack that is currently happening.
Consumption of stimulants such as caffeinated drinks like coffee can temporarily interfere with your heart rate. The effects vary from person to person. It can result in arrhythmia in some people, especially if they haven’t built a tolerance for it yet.
