Low Blood Pressure Symptoms

Fainting (Syncope)

You are advised to seek immediate medical attention if you start to feel faint. [1] This symptom may be caused by micturition syncope. This condition causes a sudden and short-term fall in blood pressure level during urination. Micturition syncope is usually accompanied by a temporary loss of consciousness and is common among elderly patients. Old people are at a high risk of having this condition due to the release of hormones that cause hypotension.

Stroke

Stroke is one of the serious symptoms of low blood pressure. Ischemic stroke is a type of stroke that occurs when blood pressure level drops to a dangerous level, inhibiting flow to the brain. [2] Low blood pressure may result from a heart attack or other cardiovascular problems. It may also be caused by moderate to severe bleeding.
