Caffeinated foods and beverages

Caffeinated foods and drinks can help increase your blood pressure, but this effect is often temporary. It also does not work for everybody. Studies suggest [6] that the effects of caffeinated coffee on blood pressure only work in people who do are not regular coffee drinkers.
You may still take caffeine to boost your blood pressure if you fall into this demographic. Caffeine-rich foods besides coffee include chocolate (especially dark chocolate), cocoa, tea, and some energy drinks and sodas. Do not drink coffee too often or you might become less sensitive to it. Too much caffeine can also cause dehydration.
