One typical and evident sign of right-sided heart failure is fluid retention, which results in edema in the lower limbs and occasionally the belly. However, a number of additional symptoms could appear:

  • breathing difficulties, especially when lying down
  • coughing, lightheadedness
  • difficulties focusing, and disorientation
  • low energy and fatigue
  • unexpected weight gain
  • reduced appetite
  • Edema
  • abdominal bloating
  • altered urine
  • unsettled stomach
