Devices

You may require an implanted device to sustain normal cardiac function if your right-sided heart failure is more severe.
To make up for the heart’s diminished ability to pump blood, a mechanical heart pump can be either a ventricular assist device or an entire artificial heart.
Surgery could be required in some situations to fix a congenital heart abnormality that led to heart failure or to fix a malfunctioning heart valve. Or, in the most extreme circumstances, if all other forms of treatment have failed, a heart transplant may be required.
