What is HPV?
HPV is a sexually transmitted viral infection. HPV means human papillomavirus. It is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases in the world. In some cases, the condition may not be accompanied by symptoms and it may go away without any treatment. However, some forms of HPV can cause cervical cancer, neck, and head cancer. Some may also cause cancer of the penis or anus. HPV consists of various viruses. It features more than 100 types and some are more dangerous than others.
