Home Remedies for Kidney Stones

Horsetail juice

Horsetail juice has antimicrobial and antioxidant properties which can help improve urinary function. It’s been used to flush out kidney stones and reduce inflammation.

It’s advisable to use horsetail juice as medicine in moderation. Using it as a remedy for an extended period increases the risk of developing seizures. It also lowers the levels of potassium and vitamin B in the body. Avoid extended use beyond 6 weeks.

Pregnant women, nursing mothers and children shouldn’t take horsetail juice. Do not drink horsetail in combination with heart medication or diuretics. It contains nicotine and shouldn’t be used by anyone trying to quit smoking. It is also bad for alcoholic and diabetic people.

Conclusion

You should be able to pass kidney stones within six weeks. If this doesn’t happen and other symptoms develop, you should see a doctor. Kidney stones can always return after treatment. It is important to drink plenty of water and avoid foods that cause kidney stones to form.
