Lactose Intolerance: Causes and Symptoms

Nausea, Vomiting and Bloating

The irritation of the digestive system can cause you to feel nauseous. Lactose digestion is difficult in persons suffering from LI so the inability of the small intestine to digest the sugar can cause you to feel nauseous.

If you continue to feel nauseous over a long period caused by lactose intolerance, it may end up in vomiting. If a lactose intolerant person takes too much dairy, it may come back out as vomit because the body fails to digest it quickly enough.

The breakdown of lactose in the large intestine causes gases like carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and methane to pile up. These gases tend to give you a false sense of fullness, also known as bloating.
