Always choose yourself

Always put yourself above everyone. You don’t have to feel bad about putting yourself first. Do not get used to putting other people’s feelings above yours. If someone or an activity drains your mental health [5] or emotional health [6], it is important to remove yourself from that situation. Take some time to relax after a stressful day. Decompressing and recharging helps remove any pressure. Spend a day in bed, or outdoors in nature.
Allow yourself to feel joy and pain
Allowing yourself to feel emotions fully is a great way to learn self-love. Feel pain, joy, and do not restrict yourself from expressing certain emotions. Understanding these emotions will help you love yourself better. Your value is not tied to your feelings. Learn to embrace and understand them.
