Muscle Pain and Spasms

Chronic pain and involuntary muscle spasms [5] are also familiar with multiple sclerosis. Pain can be a direct result of the demyelination or by the symptoms themselves causing secondary pain. This pain can be experienced periodically or at a random time. Pain may also include painful sensations in the limbs (dysesthesias) or pruritis, which causes itching, tingling, and other related sensations.
Stiffness of the muscles or spasms (spasticity) [6] is also commonly experienced. Stiff joints or muscles coupled with involuntary painful jerking movements at the high extreme. Back pain is also, common but the legs are often the most affected.
The type of spasticity associated with MS includes flexor spasticity, a situation whereby the muscles become very tight to the extent of bending and not getting straightened. And exterior spasticity where opposite of the problem occurs, i.e., the muscle become so tight that the arms and legs become straightened and can’t bend.
