Dementia

Changes to proteins in the brain, which include Lewy bodies, can cause dementia [5] in Parkinson’s.
Some popular symptoms are:
- difficulty remembering things, focusing and making judgments
- unclear speech
- hallucinations [6] and delusions
- depression, irritability, and anxiety
- sleep difficulties and daytime sleepiness
Drugs can reduce the progress of dementia, but the symptoms usually become more serious after a while.
