Parkinson’s Tremor: Causes, Treatments, and more

Types of Parkinson’s tremor

The type of Parkinson’s tremor you experience helps your healthcare provider detect why the condition is occurring.

Tremors can be divided into two groups; action and resting tremors.

Resting tremors

Resting tremors are tremors that occur when your body is in a resting state. They are mostly felt in the muscles of the fingers or hands. Muscles in these areas shake when they are at rest.

In some cases, resting tremors occur as “pill-rolling” tremors because they cause a circular movement in the hands and fingers.
