Diagnosis

Diagnosis starts with a review of the noticeable signs alongside medical history and family medical history. Strokes in the brain are mostly unknown to the individual. Diagnosis of vascular Parkinsonism is best done by computerized tomography (CT) [6] or magnetic resonance imagery (MRI) [6]. This helps to reveal the occurrence of recent or previous brain attacks.
Parkinson’s may also be detected by genetic testing, in order to identify genes linked to vascular Parkinsonism either gotten from family history or mutations. Diagnosis may also include blood tests, physical examinations of the body, evaluation of the heart, and narrowing of the blood vessels of the head and neck. Proper diagnosis helps to know how serious the strokes are and to also know the type of treatment to be recommended.
