Life expectancy

Vascular Parkinsonism is a chronic health condition, meaning it doesn’t really have a cure and is most likely to stay forever. However, if managed well it won’t progress like Parkinson’s disease. A person can live a normal lifestyle with this health condition so far he goes for regular checkups and follows the instructions given by a health professional. However, this condition poses a greater risk to those with underlying vascular disease. This condition can therefore lead to cardiovascular diseases like heart problems which can be life-threatening.
A person with Parkinson’s disease may live as long as someone without this disease. However, for individuals with Parkinson’s life expectancy is not so encouraging but the disease gets worse if not well managed. The reduced life expectancy becomes worse if this condition is diagnosed at the age of 70 and above.
