The Common Symptoms of Prostatitis

Urinary Retention & Frequent Urination

Urinary retention can be described as the inability to empty the bladder completely. It can either be acute or chronic. Urinary retention is the obstruction in the urinary tract, such as an enlargement in the prostate gland, which causes swelling. In chronic urinary retention [3], urinating might seem possible, but one would have difficulty starting a stream or even emptying the bladder.

Frequent urination is also another symptom of prostatitis. Frequent urination is described as having the feeling of urge to pass out urine more often than necessary. Frequent urination can be treated by exercises, but when there is an underlying medical condition such as prostatitis, this will need to be attended to medically.
