Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is a medicinal plant cultivated in many homes around the world for its many health benefits. The gel from the plant can help reduce dermal itching and kills scabies. This was confirmed in a study [5] where aloe vera gel was found to be as effective as benzyl benzoate in treating scabies. Benzyl benzoate is a frequently recommended medication for scabies.
In the study, the gel did not cause any side effects in the participants. Although this study lends credence to the effectiveness of aloe vera gel in treating scabies, more studies using larger sample sizes are needed on the subject.
