Cayenne Pepper

Most of the evidence on the effectiveness of cayenne pepper in treating scabies is purely anecdotal. So far, there have been no definitive scientific studies confirming its potency as a treatment for scabies, but many people believe it works. Cayenne pepper can help relieve the itching and pain associated with scabies infection, but it is uncertain whether it does kill the mites.
According to one three-week study [6], a cream made from capsaicin, the active ingredient in cayenne pepper, effectively reduced chronic soft tissue pain in participants who used it. This was likely because the compound desensitizes dermal neurons when it is used on the affected area.
