Clove Oil
An animal study [7] published in 2010 tested the effectiveness of several essential oils in killing scabies. Clove oil was found to be effective in killing scabies in the pigs and rabbits used in the study. While other oils, such as nutmeg oil showed promise in the study, very few were as effective as clove oil.
There are currently no human studies on the use of clove oil in treating scabies, so there is a lot of room for future research. Besides being an effective acaricidal, clove oil also has antimicrobial, analgesic, and antioxidant activities.
