Hives, a type of skin condition is very common in individuals living with HIV, it can occur at any stage of the disease. Although, some other diseases can cause this skin condition. This condition can either be acute (I.e it may last for a few days or weeks) or chronic (may last for months or years). It is advisable to visit your healthcare professional if you notice anything unusual on your skin. Avoid self medication always. Also, try as much as possible to avoid physical agents that’ll trigger your skin reactions, if it is caused by external factors.
