Shingles

This condition is also known as herpes zoster. It has different symptoms such as nerve pain. This pain can occur for weeks or even months after the other symptoms have cleared. (post-herpetic neuralgia). Symptoms of shingles are:
- Fever
- Rash typically occurs on one side of the body
- Tingling or itchy skin
- Muscle aches and chills
- Painful, blister-like rash on the torso, face, eyes, or genitals
- Headache
Studies show that the research leaves within 7 to 10 days and nerve pain lessens or disappears within 2 to 4 weeks. Older people are more susceptible to complications that can last for months or even years after the rash has gone. It is known as burning, shooting, stabbing pain.
Other complications associated with shingles are:
- Full or partial blindness (if It gets to the eyes)
- Pneumonia
- Brain inflammation
- Loss of hearing
- Death
